Tomek Gardas has provided some more photos where the black background is missing from the card on the left.
Since adding yesterday's post to my blog I have been contacted by collectosk and he tells me he has a complete set of the cards with the light background and almost a complete set of the cards with the dark background, so it's obvious the difference between the two types isn't an error, it's a variation.
Hi Alan, here in Spain the 'missing background' happened with the cards that came in the minitins, bigtins... and also in packets that included limited editions. All cards look different, not only the ones with black background.
