I don't know much about these wax wrappers and I'm hoping that adding them to my blog may lead to a knowledgeable collector coming forward with some additional information. Apparently there are 16 different series. I don't think any of the cartoons include any football references, but the gifts that are advertized and can be obtained by sending in the wax wrappers (comics) include Leather Footballs and Football Pennnats.
