Some more Ty-Phoo Tea rosettes.
UPDATE (20-11-2015): I've always presumed that the Chelsea and Liverpool rosettes would have been all one colour as both clubs played in single-colour kits at this time, but the Chelsea rosette is blue and white and the Liverpool rosette is red and white. It seems like five rosettes are still to be shown.

In March 1967, around the time that this collection was due to be issued, Derek Dougan transferred from Leicester City to Wolverhampton Wanderers. I've only ever seen the Wolverhampton Wanderers version of the package issue and the premium issue. It has been said that there are also Leicester City versions of the premium issue, though I've never seen one. I have found a proof sheet of six cards, the packet version, that includes Derek Dougan in Leicester City kit, as shown above.

Ty-phoo Tea - World Cup 1966 LP Flyer

1966
World Cup 1966 LP Flyer
Ty-phoo Tea
1 leaflet

This item isn't really cartophilic but it is interesting nevertheless. A flyer advertizing an offer to purchase a World Cup 1966 double LP at a special price by sending off some packet fronts. It's probably the last Ty-phoo Tea item that I'll be including for a while. The inside of the gatefold album includes photos of all 22 players in each of the England and West Germany squads. I'm surprised not to have seen these cut out and sold individually.

These rosettes have generated one little bit of interest at least, Alan Probert has kindly forwarded a scan of an item of ephemera - a notice sent out by Ty-Phoo Tea explaining a delay in supplying the team photos and rosettes.

When you collected the right number of team photos from the packages you could send off for the large Premium team photo. Along with the 10" x 8" card you also received a rosette in the club colours. As a number of teams played in similar colours only a certain number of rosettes were produced. I've been trying to gather a list of all of these rosettes and this is what I have come up with, with a few assumption regarding some clubs rosettes, though most a straighforward. Strangely though, my Cardiff City rosette is White and Blue rather than Blue and White!
