Topps - Cricket Legends of the Game

Cricket Legends of the Game
Topps
14 cards

Something for Scunthorpe United fans....
Each presentation case contains four encased cards: 2 autograph cards and 2 numbered inserts. Cards are numbered up to 1/5/10/25/49, and are printed on 130pt foil card stock.
This extraordinary collection features iconic figures like the dynamic Kevin Pietersen, the graceful Kumar Sangakkara, and the legendary Ian Botham.
Each card in this set serves as a timeless tribute to the remarkable careers and indelible contributions of fourteen cricketing titans.
Yet another crappy checklist from Topps - there's three different designs in the previews, including two different types autograph cards, but these aren't listed in the checklist.

370 stickers

This collection is similar to the DS collection that was available in a lot of countries. The album cover includes the Reyauca logo and the back cover is unique to this version. The stickers are also similar but they are smaller and this can be seen by the scans of the album pages where the stickers don't fit in the spaces provided. Thanks to
Júlia Borràs for help with this collection.

The 1971 Women's World Cup (II Campeonato Mundial de Futbol Femenil) was the second to be organised by the Federation of Independent European Female Football, the first one taking place a year earlier in Italy.
This collection was produced after the tournament was over and the album consists of an 8½" x 13" double-sided card with spaces for 32 cards to be pasted on both sides. Each card is 1½" x 1¾" featuring duotone pictures of World Cup emblems, players, match action and celebrations, the majority of which feature Mexican players.
Originally 15 teams were drawn to participate in the qualifying competition but due to withdrawals some teams got to Mexico without playing any football. England failed to qualify from their 3-team group but were awarded a place at the finals when all 3 teams from another group failed to play any games. Denmark beat Mexico 3-0 in the Final, played at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City front of over 110,000 spectators.
Due to injuries, three Mexican players played for England in the fifth place play-off against France - Elsa Salgado, Teresa Viguera and Cecilia Gallegos. Gallegos returned with the team and represented England again in 1972, playing against Italy.
You can read more about the tournament on Wikipedia - 1971 Women's World Cup.
Copa 71 is a fascinating documentary film produced by Rachel Ramsay and James Erskine, which is receiving positive reviews and gets it's United Kingdom released on 8 March, 2024. It features footage from the tournament and the surrounding events, with recent interviews with some of the players that took part in the tournament, along with the thoughts of modern-day footballers like Brandi Chastain and Alex Morgan. Alex Morgan is also an Executive Producer along with others, including Serena and Venus Williams.
