Tony Park has been doing a lot of research regarding these postcards. Adverts first started appearing in the June 1961 issue of Charles Buchan's Football Monthly. This is a list of cards in chronological order up to the advert in the January 1963 issue, where the cards were re-organised in alphabetical order and given reference numbers, I have added the reference numbers in brackets. Some of these cards were no longer available when the numbering system started.

• 03-1961 - No advert
• 04-1961 - No advert
• 05-1961 - No advert
• 06-1961 - First advert appears with five cards - Greaves (A), Haynes (P), C. Jones (A), Springett (P) McIlroy (P)
• 07-1961 - No advert
• 08-1961 - Charlton (A), Flowers (P), Hitchens (A), Armfield (A) and Gregg (P) added
• 09-1961 - No new players added nor any description given
• 10-1961 - No new players added nor any description given
• 11-1961 - No new players added nor any description given
• 12-1961 - A larger advert with an image (Jimmy Greaves). New players are Swan, Eastham, Connelly, Quixall, B. Robson, Nicholson. Teams added were Burnley, Spurs and Man Utd from 1961/62. No photo descriptions.
• 01-1962 - Same 16 players from 1961 but descriptions about portrait and action added to advert. The advert refers to Christmas orders so obviously the January 1962 edition was issued in December 1961. Free photo with every order over 7/6d. Team photos now referred to as 1961/2.
• 02-1962 - Different advert but no changes
• 03-1962 - Same advert, no changes
• 04-1962 - Small advert in Classified Ads section now points to a larger advert on page 36. 12 new players and 4 new teams. In addition, it appears that J. Greaves (P) photo has been updated after his move to Spurs, an extra Bobby Charlton (P) has been added with the others being Byrne (A), Elder (P), Herd (P), Moore (A), Mullery (P), Pointer (A), Setters (P), Vernon (A), Woosnam (P). The four new teams are England, Fulham, Manchester City and West Ham. However, the advert refers to the Burnley team photo as 'Feb 62'... so that might be an update too. Free England photo with first 100 orders this month.
• 05-1962 - Similar advert with different illustrations. Free England photo with orders over 2/- this month.
• 06-1962 - No magazine to check
• 07-1962 - No change to May 1962 details so clearly no updates in the June 1962 edition. However, the advert refers to a Collectors Club Photo Album available from next issue.
• 08-1962 - No change to players but looks like the Spurs teamgroup has been updated. Also advert is now larger and has more images and talks about the delay in getting the photo album produced. There is also a smaller advert in the classifieds referencing the larger advert.
• 09-1962 - 12 new players added in Adamson (A), Blacklaw (A), Crowe (A), Dobing (P), Douglas (A), Foulkes (P), Hunt (P), St John (A), Kevan (A), Parker (A), Di Stefano (A), Trautmann (A). Team photo of Benfica added. Image of the Collectors Club Photo Album on a half page advert.
• 10-1962 - Similar advert to previous month. Players added are Deakin (P), Gaskell (P), J. Robson (A), Stiles (P). There are also new 1962/63 team photos of Arsenal. Bolton, Leyton O and Manchester Utd. Benfica team photo is a free giveaway with orders.
• 11-1962 - No changes but half page advert amended with more images.
• 12-1962 - Advert reduced to a third of a page and reference to 'New photo's added this month' which are Baker (P), Matthews (A), Springett (P), Law (A), Setters (A), Flowers (P). The new Team is Sheffield Wednesday but the following players are missing Flowers (P), Setters (P), Springett (P). Without looking at the old and new images I have no idea if the Springett and Flowers portraits are new updates or just reissues of the older images which seem out of stock.
