Football cards and stickers issued around the world, from the 1880's to the present day and even some that haven't been issued yet. I don't have any cards for sale, nor do I provide valuations, this blog is just a means of passing on information I have gathered over many decades of collecting. Alan Jenkins.

I've just been sent photos of the Roy Goodall card by Roger Pashby (Huddersfield Town Cards & Stickers) and it's prompted me to dig out all the similar cards I know about. I thought I had included some of these previously, but here's is the list of all those I know of and images of some of them. I'd like to thank Gerard Scully for the use of some of his photos.

Graham Bruton has sent in scans of two cards that fall into this category. The card on the left has an image of a face in the bottom right quadrant, Graham has studied it and believes it to be George Vose, who joined Manchester United in August 1932 and stayed at the club until he retired in 1946.

Real B.A.B. stickers this time. These are the more familiar ones, with the club name in a yellow box at the top of the sticker. Always check any stickers you come across - have a look at some of the stickers where there are more than one per club, there can be some very subtle differences between different versions. No list this time, all known stickers appear in the illustration.

B.A.B. - Football Club Shields, with Gold Badge

Football Club Shields, with Gold Badge
Northern Trancessories

Two more types of cards similar to the B.A.B. issues from the early 1970s. Although I've listed them as B.A.B. in the heading, these are P.V.C. stickers and are probably issued by Northern Trancessories, a Leeds firm. If I listed them correctly not many would recognise the name, whereas everyone knows about B.A.B. stickers.
Check out the two Huddersfield Town stickers in the illustration above. I originally included both because the badge on one was positioned a lot lower on one than the other. Then I realised that the animals (sheep?) on one look to the left and on the other they look to the right! You should always check these types of stickers for slight design alterations and colour changes.

Mark Hughesdon also sent in the above illustration of another City Bakeries card. I presume that all the clubs in the Football League are represented in this set, yet this is the first time I've seen any reference to a Luton Town card.
Thanks Mark.
I've done a lot of research on the various scenes on these cards, and the different typefaces used. More of that later....
