Football cards and stickers issued around the world, from the 1880's to the present day and even some that haven't been issued yet. I don't have any cards for sale, nor do I provide valuations, this blog is just a means of passing on information I have gathered over many decades of collecting. Alan Jenkins.

ReplyDeleteI see that the stamp was last issued in about 1910 which was the year Edward VII died but his stamps were still being used a lot later. In addition the addressee sadly had died in 1920/21 (her death recorded in the 1st Qtr 1921) according to a Family History website I looked at, all this dates the card to being at the latest 1920. The writer Harry P Pedley (born 1890 according to census returns) was a member of the territorial army by 1921 and had relocated back to Chelmsford and was well known there according to a description of his marriage in 1924.
