The Magnet - MAG-060 The Magnet Album of Test Match Cricketers

1930
MAG-060 The Magnet Album of Test Match Cricketers
The Magnet
28 stickers

By 1930 The Magnet Library had become just The Magnet. I'm including this item as it's the last Magnet item in my database that has a football connection, with Patsy Hendren being included in the collection of stickers. I don't have the sticker to show you, but it is reproduced on the cover of issue no. 1171 dated 26 July, 1930 and is also shown on one of the inside pages which refers to him having player for England 'at soccer'.

The Magnet Library - MAG-030 Stand-Up Cricketers

1925
MAG-030 Stand-Up Cricketers
The Magnet Library
12 (1 Football connection)

Just noticed this item in my database. It's not a football card, but a stand-up card of cricketer Elias 'Patsy' Hendren. I wanted to include it as it almost completes all that I've got on The Magnet/The Magnet Library. Patsy Hendren was an all-round sportsman. As well has having a stella cricket career he also played football for a number of clubs - Brentford, Queens Park Rangers, Manchester City and Coventry City. If you want to find out about other cricket cards featuring Patsy Hendren then I recommend the Elias 'Patsy' Hendren – Memorabilia website.

The Magnet - Magic Spectacles Photographic Supplements

1936
MAG-020 Magic Spectacles - Photographic Supplement to The Magnet
The Magnet
6 sheets

Commencing with the 14 February 1936 issue of The  Magnet (front cover illustrated above) and for the next five issues, the publication gave away six sheets of photographs. They are printed in blue and red and are very 'fuzzy', that's because by looking at them with the 'Magic Spectacles' the images would appear in 3D. These sheets rarely become available these day.
I've tried searching the internet for more information without much success but I presume that these were one of the earliest types of 3D imagery.
UPDATE (06-08-2019 14:47):  Titles of the pictures on the first sheet have been added. This checklist is now complete.
