Famous Football Players
Black & White magazine, Manchester
1 print
I have been sent a scan of another print from the Black & White magazine. It features a rugby player, John Joseph Hawcridge who played twice for England in 1885, while playing for Bradford F.C. At the time Bradford F.C. was a rugby union club, but in August 1895 they became a rugby league club, joining the Northern Union. In 1907 they changed codes again, this time to association football, joining the Southern League and a year later they were admitted to the Football League.
04-11-1887. J.J. Hawcridge (Bradford F.C.)
23-12-1887. Mr. Wm. Tait (Newton Heath A.F.C.)
