New Brighton was founded in 1921 and entered the Football League for the 1923-24 season and spent the whole time in the Third Division North before not being re-elected in 1951.

My grandad played for new Brighton until 1925 so he is not on that photo but he is on others,his name was Matthew burton,he scored the winning in the Cheshire senior cup final against tranmere rovers the year before,davidmatthewburton23@gmail.com
