With the cancellation of the Swap & Play Tour due to the measures needed to be taken during this coronavirus pandemic Topps will be conducting the Topps Match Attax World Championships 2020 via the Match Attax App., though there doesn't seem to be any mention of competitors receiving the physical cards. Here is what Topps are saying:
Can you prove yourself to be one of the best Match Attax players in the world? The Match Attax World Championships will begin on April 10th on the Match Attax App!
To be crowned a World Champion: Win the 2020 Match Attax World Championships as many times as possible before the tournament ends on Thursday 16th April. All winners will be counted post-tournament. We will then order the winners by the amount of times they have won the 2020 Match Attax World Championships.
- Anyone who wins the tournament will win an exclusive Bronze Champion card in the app. This only applies for the first tournament win.
- The Top 25% of winners will then win the exclusive Silver Champion card in the app.
- The Top 10% of winners will then win the exclusive Gold Champion card in the app. These winners will also earn Match Attax Master status!
So it’s time to start practising, the Match Attax World Championships will begin on April 10th!
