J. Baines was not the first to sell football and cricket cards in the North of England in the late 1880's but he was the most prolific and the business survived into the 1920's. I've always been interested in the various issuers and the businesses that took advantage of craze of collecting football and cricket cards. I thought I would delve into my database and shows some of these interesting cards from a bygone age.
This card was produced by Alf Cooke., Leeds.

A new Rookie Card released every week on a vintage Topps design from the same season as when the player debuted in the competition. Cards are priced at £7.99/€8.00 each.
Look out for numbered parallels included with lucky orders of base cards # to 1, # to 5, # to 10, # to 25, # to 49 and 99. Any autograph cards for ’Lost Rookie’ subjects are sold separately. This product is printed to order. There will be a one-week sale period, after which we will collate all orders and then begin printing ! Please allow 28 working days after the sales window ends for fulfilment. If for any reason the orders are running behind schedule you will be notified by email.
