There are three photos missing: the Aston Villa team photo (No. 29), Mr. George Robey (dated 2 March, 1909) and the Newcastle United team photo (No. 64). Thanks for posting Alan, these are stunning. Amazed but delighted to see the Reading team here!
ReplyDeleteHi Chris,
DeleteThey are, aren't they!!! I had a great time years ago compiling the lists of all the inserts. I Used to have details of all the opposition teams but I don't think i transferred that information from my notebooks to my database. I presume the Reading one comes from a programme for an F.A. Cup tie.
Alan
I knew they hadn't played Villa that year Alan, but Reading did play at Villa Park that day against Norwich, in a first round second replay! I wonder if Jon has got them for other years?
ReplyDeleteHi Chris,
DeleteJon has sent me photos from two other bound volumes - 1909-10 and 193-14, these will be added to my blog with the first of them appearing in a day or two.
