I've been sent a scan of this postcard and here's a quote from Wikipedia to explain it's inclusion: The Royal Shrovetide Football Match is a "medieval football" game played annually on Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday in the town of Ashbourne in Derbyshire, England. Shrovetide ball games have been played in England since at least the 12th century from the reign of Henry II (1154–89).
H.R.H. Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VIII, strated the 1928 match, when the game added "Royal" to the title. The current monarch, King Charles III started the game in 2003.
