1950's

Georgie Mee's career spanned the whole of the period between the two wars. In 1919-20 he was with Notts County, though he never played for the first team and by 1938-39 he was in his second spell at Accrington Stanley. In between he played well over 500 games for Blackpool, Derby County, Burnley, Mansfield Town, Great Harwood and Rochdale. As well as playing football he was a well-known entertainer - as a vocalist, comedian and as a member of the Magic Circle. He was the brother of former Arsenal manager Bertie Mee, who also played for Derby County and Mansfield Town. The card is rather tatty but extremely rare.
