The United Kingdom arm of Allen & Ginter was originally called J.F. Allen and was set up by John Morgan Richards and his brother-in-law Henry Kingsbury Terry around 1877. In November 1885 Henry K. Terry turned the enterprise into a limited company - Henry K. Terry & Co. Limited - to take over the benefit of a contract dated March 29, 1883, and made between Messrs. Allen and Ginter, of Richmond, Virginia, and Henry K. Terry. The company imported a wide range of cigarette brands from the United States as indicated in the contemporary newspaper adverts from 1881 (The Llangollen Advertiser) and 1890 (The Rhyl Journal). It is not known whether the packets included the various cards produced by Allen & Ginter, though there doesn't seem to be much evidence to prove the hypothesis. The packets did however include coupons similar to ones produced in America, which could be collected and exchanged for albums. I've included an example of one such coupon, though I don't have a scan of the reverse. The relevant albums are list below.

World's Champions
Beauties of the World
Leading Jockeys
Flag of all Nations
