Futera have announced a new collection of football cards with designs harking back to the early days of Futera's emergence as an issuer of quality football cards. The Fans Selection brand debuted in the 1997-98 season with the first of their Manchester United sets, quickly followed by similar ones for Arsenal, Aston Villa, Celtic, Chelsea and Leeds United.
This time round, sets will be created as super-rare, Limited Edition cards with each card being individually foil-numbered # to 20 or less, and averaging 2mm board thickness. Another point of difference from the ‘90s cards will be the inclusion of player memorabilia featured in one of the designs..
The first cards to release is a ‘World Football’ set featuring international stars from around the world, and Futera look forward to bringing news of which clubs the Fans’ Selection cards will be released for in the coming weeks.
Cards are sold in packs of 3 - each card being protected by a soft-sleeve and enclosed in a Toploader and priced at $49.99 per packet. A limited release with just 550 packets worldwide!
UPDATE (30-12-2021 17:42): It turns out the official checklist is incorrect, I have updated the various base cards I've been able to confirm so far.
UPDATE (16-01-2022 12:51): The official checklist issued by Futera has the prefix for The Stars cards as 'ST' but the prefix used on the cards is 'TS'. While checking all the cards I noticed that the Forwards had different numbers compared to the checklist. All the ones I have been able to confirm have been added to the checklist and lines put through the ones listed incorrectly. I have been unable to confirm that card TS18 is Erling Haaland.

Overpriced rubbish. They don't even have team badges. Who would want to buy these?

ReplyDeleteYes, he's in the list. Futera provided an incorrect checklist, with 'ST' as the prefix instead of 'TS' and at least two players with the wrong card numbers.
