The first issue of Sports for Boys was published on 9 October, 1920. This advert, which measures 144mm in diameter, was probably included in other similar publications by the publisher, but the magazine only ran for 28 issues with the last one dated 16 April, 1921. After that it was incorporated into All Sports. The first four issues included free presentation plates:
1. The art of boxing
2. ?
3. The art of swimming and diving
4. The art and science of wrestling
