The cards were intended to be collected and redeemed for prizes. This is the only card I know about. Amilcar Balbuy was the first Brazilian to play in Italy when he joined Lazio in 1931-32, becoming the oldest player, at the age of 38, to debut in Serie A, a record not broken until 2016.
