John Cross has provided a scan of the Blackpool rosette and he reminded me that it's tangerine and white, not orange and white. There's more variations with these rosettes than I ever thought possible. I presumed that if a team played in red and white, whether that was red shirts and white shorts or red and white striped shirts, the rosettes would be red and white, but some are white and red, where most of the rosette is white rather than red. But then the rosettes can come with red ribbons or white ribbons!!
Chelsea rosettes seem to be blue and white even though they played in all blue during this period and the Liverpool rosette seems to be red and white when they played in all red.
