Teddy Wynard had a distinguished military career, winning the D.S.O., as a crickets he played in three Test matches and took part in a number of M.C.C. tours. He also played for the winning team in the 1881 F.A. Cup Final, scoring the first of Old Carthusians 3 goals against Old Etonians.
