Heroes Of Sport
Cohen, Weenen & Co. (Circus Girl Cigarettes)
100 (44 Footballers)

28 out of 44 footballers were shown in a post published more than two years ago. Paul Bowditch of RookieSoccercards.com has provided scans of some more cards. The original post can be found here - Cohen, Weenan & Co. (Circus Girl Cigarettes) - Heroes Of Sport (2). Here's a list of the missing cards:
UPDATE (25-05-2016 16:57):  Another photo added - A, Montgomery (Bury). The quality is not very good, but these cards are extremely rare and to get a card in any condition is better than not getting one at all. Thanks to Baz Warburton.

  1. Hi Alan, I'm wondering if 'Cayhill' of Woolwich Arsenal is actually Jock Caldwell? I can't find a Cayhill that played for Arsenal and Caldwell is the player who looks most similar with a similar name. Having said that, they all had the same moustaches back then so hard to be sure! Here's a link to a picture of Caldwell: https://www.doingthe92.com/display_card.asp?step=451&ID=696&card=12&size=1

    1. Actually, I've just answered my own question because I've found the same photo in the Heroes and Heroines of Sport & Pastime book, published in 1896. It's Obed Caygill, who played in goal for Millwall Athletic between 1888 and 1894. The link with Arsenal is that he scored the first ever own goal that Arsenal benefited from! It was in a 3-2 win for the Gunners in the Third Qualifying round of the FA Cup in November 1892.

    2. Amazing research, I've got to admire your persistence in tracking him down. Well done.
