Cadet Sweets - All Sports (Transfers) (4)

1957
CAD-670 / CAF-27-2 Transfers - All Sports
Cadet Sweets
UK
48 (4 football)

I've had some success in adding names to this checklist lately. Only 18 more to find. There are 4 footballers in the list so far.
I have amended the date to 1957, probably the earliest that this collection could have been issued. The boxer Terry Spinks turned professional in 1957 after winning a Gold medal at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne and he is shown in a fighting pose without a vest.
UPDATE (20-11-2016 07:41):  Steve F. has provided information for two more of the transfers, though we now have two number 25's. Willie Toweel might be mis-identified.
UPDATE (01-02-2018 10:11):  Another transfer has been identified (No. 11), thanks to Brian Jukes. Brian has also informed me that Willie Toweel is no. 25 but Colin Cowdrey is no. 35. I have amended the Colin Cowdrey entry.
UPDATE (03-02-2018 18:13):  Brian Jukes has provided details for no. 42.
UPDATE (02-05-2018 15:02):  A few days ago I accidentally deleted a comment providing additional information about this collection. Once deleted there's no way to recover it. Whoever sent it, please accept my apologies. I decided to do another search and found details for most of the missing numbers, which I presume, is the information that would have been in the comment. Just number 2 still needing to be identified.

  1. Alan, Peter May is #6 and M.C. (Colin) Cowdrey is #25 with the Cowdrey card recorded only as M.C. Cowdrey

    1. Hi Steve,

Thanks for letting me know. I've now got two 25's in the list. I presume Willie Toweel is not 25, the number has probably been mis-read.

      Kind regards,

      Alan

  2. Hello, I hope this isn't breaking any "rules" but am I allowed to ask if anyone has the Ben Hogan card from this set available for purchase? This is a new forum I just found via a google search, I'm sorry if discussions of buying and selling is not allowed...
