  2. Hello Alan, I was wondering about the name of this series? I have a photo of the Issue the Blades card came in (No. 260 1927) and on the front of the magazine it says "2 coloured Play Up cards free inside - Portsmouth and Sheffield United". Maybe "Play Up" cards are a style rather than a series name? Just wanted to raise it! cheers Paul

    1. Hi Paul,
      The 'Play Up' reference harks back to the earlier Baines cards. I have used the title given to this series by the Cartophilic Society of Great Britain in their magazines and reference books.
