Wales On Sunday - Welsh Sporting Heroes

1991-92
Welsh Sporting Heroes
Wales On Sunday
36 cards (4 football)

Large paper cards. Three footballers, four if you include referee Clive Thomas, are included in the set. Others have connections with Cardiff City though, athlete Ron Jones was secretary at the club in the early 1980s and was instrumental in the club fielding a rugby league team for a number of seasons - Cardiff City Blue Dragons; while Lynn Davies (Olympic Long Jump champion in 1964) was once on Cardiff City's books before concentrating on athletics. David Watkins was a famous Welsh rugby international at both codes, Union and League, who managed Cardiff City Blue Dragons during it's short existence and finally cricketer Wolf Wooller also played for Cardiff City from time to time in reserve games and friendlies.

Thank you very much for your help, this is something I should have done myself a long time ago.
